Associate Dean, Student Welfare

Administrative
Applications are invited from internal candidates for the position of Associate Dean – Student Welfare. The role is aimed at strengthening student engagement, welfare initiatives, and creating a holistic campus experience aligned with the university’s mission and values.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Minimum 5 years of academic/administrative experience within Parul University.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional departments.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Student Engagement & Development
  • Oversee student welfare programs and ensure their effective implementation.
  • Organize social, and recreational activities for holistic student development.
  • Act as a bridge between students and administration to address concerns proactively.

Wellbeing & Support Services
  • Ensure smooth functioning of grievance redressal mechanisms.
  • Coordinate with medical, hostel, and security services to ensure student safety and comfort.

Policy & Compliance
  • Develop and implement policies related to student welfare, discipline, and conduct.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and university norms (anti-ragging, sensitization, etc.).
  • Facilitate awareness programs on inclusivity, diversity, and responsible behavior.

Student Representation & Leadership
  • Guide and support student clubs, committees, and student council activities.
  • Encourage leadership and participation in extracurricular and co-curricular platforms.
  • Foster a student-friendly ecosystem promoting innovation, creativity, and community engagement.

Collaboration & Reporting
  • Work closely with the Dean – Student Welfare and other Deans/Directors for cross-departmental initiatives.
  • Submit regular reports, feedback, and improvement suggestions to the university leadership.
  • Represent the student welfare department in internal and external forums as required.
